Essays
I was really hoping that this year my opinion on essays would change since I've learned a new way to write them. So far, I still really, really dislike them. The fact I don't like writing essays may have something to do with the fact I procrastinate a lot. Honestly, the only part of the persuasive essay I have done is having a topic picked out and I'm not even 100% sure about the topic I chose. I do enjoy free-writing, though, don't get me wrong! I just don't enjoy writing for other people, or at least people I don't consider myself to be close to. I feel like I have better things I could do, but in reality I don't, I'd just rather do something else I actually enjoy. Even writing this is a bit of a pain, but hey, we all have to do things we don't like, right? Anyways, I suppose I should start at least part of that essay now, especially since I will sleep in as late as I can and then hang out with my boyfriend tomorrow; plus I need to study for an exam I keep forgetting and remembering... whoops.

I agree with u, i like free writing too, its actually kind of fun to see what u come up with and vent out. I also find myself procrastinating all the time too with almost every assignment given. Maybe that's evident if u notice the time i am posting this. lmao.
ReplyDeleteI like essays more than tests but they take forever to finish. Free writing is useful to find topics for the essays we are assigned. I seem to write about memories in my free writing. I also procrastinate but always seem to finish all the assignments.
ReplyDeleteHonestly, i'll take a test over an essay any day. Perhaps its because I test well, but its also due to my hatred of writing long works. Basically, anything longer than ~10 sentences is longer than I prefer.
