Revision
At first, I was really sucking it up with revision. Especially in the expository essay. I hardly made any changes and the ones I did make didn't benefit my paper at all, in fact..I'm pretty sure it made them worse. However I found that printing out a hard copy and reading through, scribbling out words that you don't like, making changes, adding, subtracting and writing down ideas really helps. That's what I did for my persuasive essay and I'm more than positive that it came out better than my expository essay. Learning what to do for revision is hard but I am definitely getting that hang of things. The papers might be easy, but how you write it down is the hardest part!

I had a hard time with revision as well. However, instead of making a few changes on my expository essay, I found myself pretty much rewriting my whole paper. I like your point about the hard copy. I did that for my persuasive essay, and it was a lot easier to find grammatical and spelling errors.
ReplyDeleteI had the same problem when I was revising me expository essay but I used the same technique. I used a hard copy and all the grammatical issues started to jump out at me. It made it much easier to finalize my revisions for both my papers.
