Pizza?
Today in class ,the professor shared some of his work with us. On the surface it may have seemed to be for the sake of killing time, but I felt he was trying to open a line of communication with us. He shared so we would feel more comfortable sharing with him. Let's face it guy's. Mr. McCoy is probably the best english teacher you ever had. Imagine yourself starving and McCoy comes by with a pizza. He wants to share that pizza. He asks if you want a slice. What would you say? My fellow students... lets eat!

Maybe if I have time at the end of the semester, we could all go out for some pizza, though I'm not sure my OCC salary could buy for everyone.
ReplyDeleteAnd: thanks for the compliment! It's about this time every semester (and I've been going through it the past couple of weeks) where I feel like an utter failure as a teacher. So such kind words help!
I agree somewhat... Mr. McCoy you are tied for the best english teacher in my book. The other teacher I had for 12th grade english. She had a different approach and lesson plan than you have. Therefore you're both not really comparable. However, I find your teaching style somewhat similiar to a chilled spring...after being forced to climb a huge research/grammer hill in high school.
